The private bankers’ loyalty to fundamental values is a mark of legitimacy, rewarded by their clients’ confidence in them.  This credibility does not stop them from claiming to be different, to claiming an identity that distinguishes them from their competitors. It justifies a dispassionate claim to their specificity: the private bankers are a role model in their profession.
