What services do the Swiss private bankers offer?

 
The private bankers' main areas of activity are investment advice and asset management, deposit and stock market business and also issue and placement operations.
 
Most of the private bankers' activities are related to asset management. These services usually include:

  • investment advisory services for private and institutional clients
  • securities trading, administration and safekeeping
  • foreign exchange operations
  • derivative instruments
  • financial analysis
  • legal and tax advisory services
  • incorporation and administration of companies, foundations and trusts
  • administration and distribution of investment funds

 
The following services may be added to the choice offered by the larger banks:

  • global custody
  • family office services
  • financial engineering
  • other services (particularly actuary ones) related to company pension schemes.
